PSA: The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is temporarily closing down two of its offices after a number of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.

In a public advisory on their social media page, GSIS announced that their Head Office in Pasay City, and their Quezon City Branch in Mindanao Avenue will both undergo disinfection this July 27, 28, and 29, 2020.

“We are now thoroughly disinfecting the two offices as well as conducting contact tracing and monitoring of employees who tested positive for the virus,” assured GSIS president and general manager Rolando Macasaet in a statement.

While the two branches remain closed on the said dates, GSIS’ operations in the NCR will continue online. Their employees will subsequently be working remotely throughout the sanitation period.

As for those who’ve yet to verify their active status as pensioners this year, GSIS instructs “We encourage all pensioners based in NCR to submit their Annual Pensioners’ Information Revalidation (APIR) documentary requirements via email address - [email protected]. Once your documents are received, we will conduct your APIR interview via Viber, FB messenger, Skype or Zoom.”
