Davao City is taking further steps to curb COVID-19 infections through mandatory electronic contact tracing in all establishments, starting February 3.
Before entering, residents will have to scan their unique code generated from the website of Safe Davao QR (DQR), the city's own contact-tracing system which they have been pilot testing since November. Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio signed the executive order on Jan. 21.
Exceptions to the mandatory scanning are establishments that are not enclosed or are not inside a structure with a roof and walls, such as milk tea stalls, ambulant vendors, lechon manok stands, sari-sari stores, bakeries, palengke stalls, the order said.
For buildings with several offices or stores inside, independent implementation for each stall is required.
