Medical frontliners who are kicked out of their rented homes for being at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 can count on government to give them lodging near their places of work, President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday.

Health workers who experiences this can call the chief implementer of the country's COVID-19 response, Sec. Carlito Galvez, Duterte said in his weekly address to the nation.

"We will treat you decently. The long and short if it," Duterte said. "We will provide you with the necessary billeting, pati pagkain. We will choose a place nearest to where you are working," Duterte said.
