Actress Heart Evangelista on Monday fired back at comments pressuring her to get pregnant, saying "nobody knows the real struggle" of conceiving and that it's up for her to decide given that it's her own body.
In a series of tweets, Evangelista said she's "furious" at how people think it's necessary for a women to bear a child in order to be happy, noting that life for her is good because the people she loves are fine.
"Bonus nalang if I do conceive again," she said. In May 2018, she suffered a miscarriage, causing her and husband Sorgogon Gov. Chiz Escudero to lose their twin children.
Back then, the actress said the experience "traumatized" her, making her think that she wasn't good enough of a person to suffer that way.
“Having a miscarriage is the most traumatizing feeling. I carried my twins 4 months after because my doctor wanted me to naturally go through the process. It was the most horrible feeling thinking maybe God can bring them back to me … or me thinking am I not a good person for this to happen," she said.
She revealed in a recent vlog that she and the ex-Senator Escudero will be trying out other options to conceive again.
