In dermatologist Dr. Aivee Teo's latest Youtube entry, Heart Evangelista recalls how she struggled financially back in 2007-at one point, she even only had P30 in her ATM!
This happened when she was filming her teleserye Hiram na Mukha, where she played the role of Carissa, a woman with a disfigured face.
"Super prosthetics. It was the hardest thing I've ever done," she shares, adding that it was difficult for her to breathe. "I had to keep the prosthetics until 3 a.m. the next day."

But despite the discomfort, Heart pushed through with the project. Because at the time, she wasn't getting financial support from her parents.
"That's when I left my parents the first time around, so I [had] to start from scratch," she says. "Ang hirap kumita ng pera."
Heart adds, "Change of lifestyle din ako-from my mom to 'simplicity is beauty.' And I have to do this because I [had] no money at that time."
"[One time], si Ate Resty, nag libre sa'kin sa restaurant," she recalls. "Wala akong pera. 30 pesos lang ang laman ng ATM ko so wala akong pang-dinner.
"My mom really wanted me to suffer so I [would] go back to her. So talagang, from all the comfort to nothing."
