World's Most Powerful Passports: Philippines Ranks 77th in 2022 Henley Index

Philippine passport holders can enter 66 territories visa-free.

The Philippine passport is the 77th most powerful in the world, according to the 2022 Henley Passport Index that rates the travel ID based on the number of countries where its holders can enter visa-free.

Holders of the Philippine passport can enter 66 countries without a visa and improved its ranking from 82nd place in 2021. The index ranked 199 passports versus 227 destinations for the 2022 index. The ranking also considers entry without the need to present additional documents or permits.

Singapore and Japan tie for first place with access to 192 countries. Japan ranked first in 2021 with a score of 193.

Germany and South Korea currently share second place on the latest ranking, with passport holders allowed access to 190 destinations visa-free. Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain are in third place with a score of 189.

Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands and Sweden are in 4th place with a score of 188, with Ireland and Portugal at 187 rounding off the Top 5.

The U.S. and U.K. both sit in 6th place with a score of 186.
