Here are the Community Quarantine Classifications for August 2021

Metro Manila will remain under general community quarantine or GCQ with "heightened restrictions" until Aug. 15, Malacañang said early Thursday, rejecting a proposal for a hard lockdown to combat the spread of the Delta variant of coronavirus.

Areas that will be under the strictest enhanced community quarantine or ECQ from Aug. 1 to 7 are Iloilo City, Iloilo Province, Cagayan de Oro City, and Gingoog City.

Here are the other community quarantine classifications for August:

ECQ (Aug. 1-7)

  • Iloilo City

  • Cagayan de Oro City
  • Gingoog City

MECQ (Aug. 1-15)

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Bataan
  • Lapu-Lapu City
