Book a Swab Test at the Red Cross, They've Done 1 Million and Counting

The Philippine Red Cross is still accepting bookings for RT-PCR or swab tests to detect the coronavirus. Since April, the humanitarian agency has run one million tests.

The swab test costs P4,000 and are done from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. everyday, including weekends. Patients can pay the non-refundable fee through credit card, GCash or Grab Pay via PayMongo. They should be at the testing center 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Sen. Richard Gordon, the PRC President, thanked doctors, nurses, medical technologists, staff, and volunteers who help run the testing center at the risk of their own safety from the virus.

"They are selfless in the service of Philippine Red Cross. We would never achieve this without them... I will never stop heaping accolades on them," he said.

The PRC testing centers can run 4,000 tests per day. It  has 21 laboratories in Metro Manila, Subic, Clark, Batangas, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Negros Occidental, Misamis Occidental, and Zamboanga City.
