Every Christmas, Filipinos flock to movie theaters to watch entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival. With COVID-19 restrictions limiting cinema capacities and face shields obstructing your view, the organizers made this year's lineup available online so you can watch at home.
Ticket selling via GMovies has started for Philippine residents, while Filipinos watching from abroad can buy their tickets starting Dec. 18. Once you buy a ticket, you can watch the film starting Dec. 25. A ticket is good for one screen, but people in the same household can share and watch the same movie at the same time.
The MMFF usually screens eight movies per year, dubbed as the "Magic Eight" but this year sees 10 films in the lineup.
Here are the 2020 MMFF entries:
- Magikland
- Coming Home
- The Missing
- Tagpuan
- Isa Pang Bahaghari
- Suarez the Healing Priest
- Mang Kepweng
- Pakboys Takusa
- The Boy Foretold by the Stars
- Fan Girl
