Up to three storms could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in September, PAGASA said Tuesday, as it advised the public to prepare for rainy weather.
The three will be named Jolina, Kiko and Lani, PAGASA forecaster Ariel Rojas told TeleRadyo. The last four, Fabian, Gorio, Huaning and Isang did not hit land but stirred monsoon rains causing floods.
On Tuesday, scattered rains are expected over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora and Quezon due to the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone or the convergence of winds from the northern and southern hemisphere.
