Actress KC Concepcion has apologized for breaking COVID-19 protocol after she was seen without a face mask during the controversial Baguio birthday party of eventologist Tim Yap that has irked netizens.
In an Instagram post, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion said she learned that "we can connect with each other and love each other, while still being extra careful for ourselves and one another."
"I do agree that keeping a mask on and not letting our guards down is the least we citizens could do. I personally apologize for not having kept my mask on 100% of the time during a gathering," she said.
"It has been 2 weeks since then and I hope we can move forward with lessons learned about safety protocols indoors or outdoors when in a crowd. I understand the panic. And I would react in a similar way," she added.
Yap earlier said he was sorry that his guests were photographed mask-less at his birthday party in Baguio City.

The party has drawn much criticism, prompting the country's contact tracing czar, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, to resign from the national task force on COVID-19 response.
Magalong , who said he attended the party with his wife, admitted that there were instances that minimum health standards were violated.

Concepcion meanwhile highlighted that being vigilant against the virus 99% of the time is not enough.
"I let my guard down for 5 minutes- while I was vigilant 99% of the time, 99% is not enough. Moving forward... Take care out there everyone. We have a long way to go," she said.
