Kids aged 12 and below are no longer allowed to enter the Manila Bay Dolomite Beach, its operator said Tuesday, after the artifical patch of white sand attracted tens of thousands over the weekend and raised concerns of a possible COVID superspreader.

The beach will also be closed during Undas, from Oct. 29 to Nov. 3, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources said.

The DENR said it would enforce quarantine Alert Level 3, which limits the movement of minors outside their homes to essential errands. Alert Level 3 is in effect in Metro Manila until Oct. 31.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar on Monday ordered the Manila Police District to help control the crowds and to limit their length of stay.
