Kris Aquino is going pink for the 2022 elections, saying she would tour the Philippines to campaign starting January.

While Aquino, the youngest sister of the late President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, did not explicitly mention presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo, the TV host said her candidate shares her favorite color pink.

Robredo is seeking the presidency as an independent candidate with pink as her signature color.

"...Nag commit ako (pati rin siya) na may tutulungan sa maraming paraan including sa pag-ikot ng Pilipinas slowly starting this January 2022," Aquino said in response to a comment on her Instagram page. She was referring to her fiancé, her brother's former Interior Sec. Mel Sarmiento.

"Obviously alam nyo na kung sino ang taking tinutukoy kasi pareho na kami ng favorite color ngayon- I’m sure lahat ng followers ko alam kung ano yung forever favorite color ko #pink," Aquino said.

EXPLAINER: Why Fiery Pink is Leni Robredo's New Campaign Color

The self-proclaimed Queen of All Media, who lorded over talk TV and commercial endorsements in the early 2000s, is expected to provide star power to Robredo, who is running to succeed President Rodrigo Duterte after much prodding from supporters.

Robredo will rely on Kris' endorsement as she goes head-to-head with presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Kris is taking an active role in the election campaign months after the death of her only brother in June. Of all four remaining daughters of Cory and Ninoy Aquino, she is the most outspoken, priming her to follow in their footsteps, analysts said.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she runs in the elections next year. As to what post, it's still too early to tell but she's the most likely one to take on the political mantle," political analyst Ramon Casiple told reportr in a previous interview.

"Historically, the Aquino family always becomes stronger politically whenever they lose one," Casiple said, noting that the support is a mix of public sympathy and adoration for the storied legacy of the family.

A single mother of two boys, Aquino's life is well documented in the media as the youngest daughter of the late Cory and Ninoy up to her movie star days, to her heydays in television as host of popular game shows "Game KNB?" and "Deal or No Deal," and as the onscreen talkshow partner of Boy Abunda for "The Buzz," "Boy and Kris" and "Aquino and Abunda Tonight."
