The family of a congressman's son is seeking peace with a security guard whom he allegedly punched in a viral video, GMA News reported Wednesday.

The incident at BF Homes last March 16, Paranaque left security guard Jomar Pajares "traumatized", the homeowners' association said. The man, Kurt Matthew Teves, son of Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr., got into an arugment with Pajares who refused him entry because his white pick-up truck did not have the proper sticker.

Pajares then asked the young Teves to use a different gate to enter the village, said, Delfin Supapo Jr., legal committee chair of BF Federation of Homeowners Association.

This appeared to have angered Teves, based on the CCTV footage aired by GMA News, which showed him shouting at Pajares: "Ano pangalan mo? Suntukan tayo? Barilan tayo? 'Di ka dapat ganun magsalita dapat, guwardiya ka e. Ano gusto mo nga, magbarilan tayo? May baril ka d'yan."

"Sabi n'ya, bakit 'di mo ako pinapapasok? Anak ako ni Congressman Teves," Pajares told GMA News.

Based on CCTV footage from the guard house, Teves grabbed Pajares' cap before alighting his pick-up. He left after other guards stopped him from getting near Pajares, said Supapo.

A few minutes later, Teves was back using another vehicle with three companions then punched Pajares, Supapo said. "Base po doon sa video, may tatlong suntok sa dibdib, meron pa sa ulo, tapos nun pinaluhod na siya, doon siya sinipa pa. Tinutukan pa siya ng baril, 'yun ang testimonya ng ating witness."

Pajares told GMA News that he fears for his family's safety following the incident.

"Pag-uwi ko, parang 'di ako mapakali, natatakot ako kasi baka po balikan ako. Iniisip ko ang pamilya ko, 'yung anak ko. Ganun na lang 'yung takot ko."

Teves is "very sad" about the inciden, said his brother, Axl, who also apologized to Pajares.

"I understand natatakot ka dahil naging malaking issue na ito pero in behalf of my family and my brother Kurt, I want you to know na willing na willing kami na kumausap sa iyo nang maayos kung saan mo gusto. Tapos isama mo po kung sino ka comfortable,” he told GMA News in a separate interview aired March 22.

"Boss, hindi ko sinasabi na kausapin ka namain para hindi ka na magkaso or whatever. Ang mali po ay mali. Pero ang gusto namin as human beings, mag-peace na po tayo, boss."

He pleaded to netizens not to judge members of the Teves family "not even my father, because Kurt is an adult."

"He is responsible of his actions, not my family.”

According to lawyer Supapo, his team will file a case against Teves, using photos, video and witness testimony as evidence.
