With just a few days before the elections, Filipinos are adding frames to their social media profile pictures to show support for their chosen candidates during a campaign season that has largely been fought online due to COVID-19 restrictions.

If hashtags for your candidate aren't enough for you and photos are more your thing, we have a quick guide on how to get a frame that speaks your beliefs.
Here's how to add a frame to your Facebook or Twitter display picture:
Visit Twibbonize and select the frame of your choice. There are some for Robredo and some for the Marcos and Sara Duterte tandem.
Here's one for Ping Lacson, Isko Moreno, and the Manny Pacquiao-Lito Atienza ticket. There's even one that supports four presidential candidates. For more options, you can use the search bar to see other frames.
Once you've chosen your frame, upload your photo. You can resize and move the image to better fit the frame.

Virtual campaigning
Apart from photo frames, supporters have been taking jabs at each other via Twitter's trending list for months. Back in September 2021, #LabanLeni2022 was used for the first time and amassed thousands of tweets calling on Vice President Leni Robredo to run for president.
In November 2019, president Rodrigo Duterte linked drug use to a presidential candidate, after which 'Bongbong Narcos,' a play on presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos' name, became a trending topic.
"Ant-Man" and "Scott Lang" trended last March when Marcos' wife Liza Araneta-Marcos told talkshow host Boy Abunda that her husband made the choice to run for president while watching the Marvel film, proof that anything can trend during Philippine election fever.
Just three weeks ago, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno called on Robredo to withdraw from the race, which gave way to more trending topics from both camps. Even banks joined in on the 'Leni Withdraw' meme.
The latest trending hashtag is #KakampINC, which were started by members of Iglesia ni Cristo who choose to vote for Robredo despite the church's endorsement of her rivals.
