The MMDA advised motorists to take alternate routes as several roads in Pasig City would be affected by the campaign rally of Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday.

Affected areas include Ortigas Ave., Emerald Ave., Meralco Ave., and EDSA-Ortigas Ave., the MMDA said in a tweet.

Participants are expected to start moving as early as 11 a.m. on Sunday, with the gathering itself expected to finish by 8 p.m, it added.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the rally site and its surrounding areas; and take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience," MMDA said.

A stage has been set up along Emerald Ave. where the campaign rally, dubbed as "PasigLaban Para sa TRoPa" would take place. The pre-show would start at 3:20 p.m., with the main showing starting at 4:30 p.m., according to the organizers of the event.

Robredo is expected to grace the event, along with members of her senatorial slate.

The campaign rally in Pasig City will take place more than a week after Robredo held her biggest political gathering so far in Bacolod City, which was attended by an estimated 70,000 people.

Robredo, who is second to Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos in opinion polls, was the most-searched presidential candidate on Google Trends that week, after the turnout in her campaign rallies.
