Governor Leni? Presidential Run Still an Option, Says Robredo

The presidency is still an option.

Vice President Leni Robredo said Friday she remained "open" to running for president after a former congressman claimed that she told him of her supposed plan to seek the governorship of Camarines Sur.

On her personal Facebook account, Robredo said she was still thinking her decision through and would "for sure" come out with a decision in due time.

"Sa gitna ng maraming haka haka, uulitin ko lang ang ilang beses ko na ring sinabi: Wala pang desisyon na ako'y tatakbong gobernador. Nananatili akong bukas na maging kandidato sa pagka Pangulo," she said.

Though she did not address anyone in particular in her fresh statement, ex-Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr recently told One News of Robredo's supposed governatorial run in her home province, alleging that she has already transferred residency to Magarao town "to meet eligibility". 

"Maraming konsiderasyon ang isinasaalang alang pero siguradong mag dedesisyon ako sa tamang panahon. Sinisiguro ko sa lahat na ipapaalam ko kung may narating nang desisyon," she added.
