The red, green, and blue ABS-CBN logo at the top of its Quezon City headquarters turned black in one of the episodes of Netflix'sĀ "Trese," which brings creatures of the dark in Philippine mythology to the streets of Metro Manila.
The Netflix adaption of a popular comic book premiered on June 11, heralded by a viral campaign of tiyanaks and monsters supposedly caught on security footage.
In episode three of the six-part series, "Trese" paid a visit to an actress who was shooting at fictional media company ABC-ZNN as she investigated the death of an OB-GYN.
Netizens pointed out how ABC-ZNN looked similar to media company ABS-CBN, Soberano's home network. A photo taken outside the ABS-CBN compound showed the logo transformation.
Before the Eugenio Lopez Jr. or ELJ Communication Center building was bathed in "Trese" red, a teaser of the collaboration was posted on Twitter.
Red, green and blue or RGB are the main hues of the color TV broadcast, which ABS-CBN helped pioneer.
