LOOK: Air Force Gets New 'Hercules' Cargo Plane from U.S.

The Philippine Air Force said Friday it received one of two C-130 Hercules cargo planes from the U.S., boosting its mission capability.

The C-130 is the workhorse of most air forces around the world. In the Philippines, the military uses it for everything from delivering relief supplies to disaster areas to transporting troops to war zones.

The aircraft was received at Villamor Airbase where it was welcomed with a water cannon salute, the PAF said.
