The city of Tandag, Surigao del Sur is sumberged in floodwaters due to rains brought by approaching Tropical Storm Auring (Dujuan), its governor said Sunday.

The inundation is "massive," said Gov. Ayec Pimentel as he urged the public to coordinate with disaster authorities.

As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the eye of 2021's first storm was sighted 335 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and is forecast to make landfall over the Dinagat Islands-Eastern Samar-Leyte area between Sunday night and early Monday morning.
