Train lines will be closed for five days during Holy Week, authorities said, advising commuters to plan their trips ahead.
The LRT-2, which runs from Rector in Manila City to Antipolo City, will be closed from Holy Wednesday, April 13 until Easter Sunday, April 17, management said Monday.
Shortened operating hours will be observed on Holy Tuesday, April 12.
Earlier, the MRT-3 management said the railway line will be closed too from April 13 to 17. Normal operations will resume on Apr. 18.
This year's Holy Week starts on April 10, Palm Sunday until April 17, Easter Sunday.
