LOOK: Here's How Riding the LRT-2 Will Be Like During COVID-19

The Philippine National Police and the Light Rail Transit Authority held a simulation exercise at Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2), Recto Station to prepare for the implementation of the social distancing protocols once railway-based transport systems are allowed to resume operations when the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) lifts.

National Capital Region Police Office Chief Debold Sinas led the exercise.

Metro Manila's trains are expected to run again as the government eases quarantine restrictions, but passengers will still have to follow safety guidelines while commuting in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Markers will inform passengers where to stand or sit in order to maintain social distance.

Individuals must wear face masks, disinfect frequently, and undergo temperature scans. Fewer passengers will be allowed to ride each carriage.

From lining up on the streets and at the barrier, to standing in front of the train doors and sitting inside the train itself, everything will be different.
