The LRT-2 halted operations Tuesday morning due to a technical problem, management said.

As of 7:43 a.m. the railway line was placed under Code Red and ticket selling was stopped.

The Light Rail Transit Authority is yet to give updates on what caused the technical problem and when the train will resume operations.

The LRT-2 currently runs on limited capacity after a number of personnel tested positive for COVID-19 and were placed under quarantine. To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, management also shortened operating hours and heightened disinfection efforts in stations and aboard trains.
