Commuters, Take Note: LRT-2 on Shortened Hours Next Week

Commuters will have to adjust their schedule as the LRT2 will shorten operating hours next week to give way to maintenance works, its operator said on Twitter.

Commercial operations will start at 5 a.m. However, the last trains will depart from both ends of the LRT-2 at 7:30 p.m., the Light Rail Transit Authority said. Regular operations will resume on Aug. 3.

Talking inside trains is still prohibited and you still need to wear a face mask and submit to temperature checks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The shortened hours will give way to the installation of power cables between the Pureza and Legarda stations. The LRT-2 stretches from west to east, or from Santolan in Pasig to Recto in Manila.
