Driver's licenses that expired during the ECQ and MECQ period in the capital and surrounding areas will be valid until July 31, the Land Transportation Office said.

Student permits and conductor's licenses that expired during the strict quarantine period will be valid until the end of July, the LTO said. The reprieve is valid in the ECQ or Enhanced Community Quarantine areas: Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal and Bulacan.

The ECQ, the highest quarantine, was in place from March 29 to April 11 and was downgraded a notch to MECQ, which will run from April 12 to 30. Offices of the LTO in the quarantine bubble area will be closed until April 30.
