LTO Pushes Back Renewal for License Plates Ending in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0

The agency wants to avoid congestion in its offices.

The Land Transportation Office said Monday, the registration renewal of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 will be extended this year, to avoid crowding in its offices.

For license plates ending in 6, 7, and 8, the deadline was extended to Oct. 30. For those ending in 9 and 0, it was moved to Dec. 31, the LTO said. This will ensure that applicants will follow social distancing and other sanitation protocols.

The extension carries no penalties and surcharges, the LTO said.
