No need to worry, aspiring drivers: the Land Transportation Office said it extended the validity of student licenses that expired during the community quarantine. They are valid until Oct. 31.
The grace period also covers applicants who turned 21 years old during the lockdown, the LTO said.
Replying to a netizen in the comments section, the agency said it was expecting another extension once those below 21 are allowed to go out, based on guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Earlier this week, the LTO announced that the registration renewal of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 will be extended this year, to avoid crowding in its offices.
