The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will resume work operations in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) starting May 13, said the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on May 12.
The DOTr announced on a Facebook post that clients are to follow health and safety protocols being enforced in LTO offices.
Wearing of face masks is mandatory and social distancing must be observed at all times. Transactions of persons below 21 years old, those 60 years old and above, and pregnant women are prohibited and will only be allowed once community quarantine is lifted.
GCQ is less strict compared to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). GCQ allows partial operations of public transportation and production and purchase of essential goods and services. On May 12, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the following areas will shift to GCQ on May 16:
