A Magnitude 6 Earthquake struck off San Agustin, Surigao del Sur province on Monday, as Luzon Island reeled from successive typhoons that submerged entire towns and displaced thousands.
The quake hit at around 6:37 a.m., PHIVOLCS said. Facebook users shared photos of their belongings in disarray after it hit. According to PHIVOLCS, aftershocks and damage are expected.
Romel Allado, a resident of Brgy. Sto Nino, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, shared on Facebook how the earthquake caused a tree to uproot and fall over a parked tricycle along their street.

Meanwhile, a resident of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, which is over an hour of travel away from the quake's epicenter, also reported damages to their home.

Intensity IV- Cagwait, City of Tandag, Bayabas, Surigao Del Sur
Intensity III- Cagayan de Oro City; Tagaloan, Villanueva, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental
Intensity II- El Salvador City, Initao, Luagit, Manticao, Misamis Oriental; Virac, Catanduanes
Intensity I- Iligan City
Intensity IV- Bislig City, Surigao del Sur
Intensity III- Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental
