The Makati Prosecutor's Office has dismissed the criminal charges against 11 companions of late flight attendant Christine Dacera over their alleged links to her death in January.
Charges of rape with homicide lodged against Dacera's companions were junked for lack of probable cause, an April 23 resolution by Makati Assistant City Prosecutor Joan Bolina-Santillan showed.
"This office finds that the evidence presented are insufficient to engender a well-founded belief that rape, homicide, or rape with homicide has been committed," the resolution stated.
Dacera was found dead in the bathtub of a hotel room she shared with her friends on Jan. 1, after a night of partying where her parents claimed that she was drugged. Her companions denied the charge.

The following individuals were cleared of the criminal charges: John Pascual dela Serna III, Rommel Galido, John Paul Halili, Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman, Jezreel Rapinan (alias Clark Rapinan), Alain Chen (alias Valentine Rosales), Mark Anthony Rosales, Reymar Englis, Louie Delima, Jamyr Cunanan and Eduardo Pangilinan III.
A police autopsy report showed that the 23-year-old flight attendant died of natural causes--a reptured vein or aortic aneurysm.
