(It is the aim of the city government to ensure that children in Manila can continue learning in the middle of the pandemic that is why we allocated some P1 billion fund to distribute learning devices.)

To ensure both educators and learners stay connected, pocket wi-fi units were distributed to teachers while students were given SIM cards with a 10 gigabyte monthly bandwidth.

More learning devices and gadgets are expected to be distributed next week, until the start of classes on Oct. 5 for elementary and high school students.

Classes were originally set to open on Aug. 24 but was pushed to October because of logistical problems encountered during the modified enhanced community quarantine put in place at the start of August.
