Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Tuesday approved the request of four more schools to resume limited face-to-face classes for their medical and health programs.
The University of the Philippines - Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College, PHINMA St. Jude College, and National University will resume classes in accordance with the Commission on Higher Education and Department of Health Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001.
Medical programs in the University of Santo Tomas earlier got approval to resume physical classes.
"I trust everyone to follow the health protocols. Mas gusto ko 'yung kayo ang magkusang disiplina," Moreno said.
Moreno also encouraged those physically present in campus premises to get vaccinated under the city's inoculation program once those in the A4 category can get their jabs.

"The A4 category has been simplified. It now includes all workers who are required to go outside their their homes to perform their jobs. Kaya pwede na ang halos lahat. Antabayanan lang natin ang announcement na pwede na ang A4 and, of course, when vaccines are available," he said.
Educational institutions seeking to resume face-to-face learning must offer the priority health courses listed in the DOH-CHED document. Application will be at their respective regional CHED offices.
