Metro Manila Stays Under Alert Level 2 as World Watches Omicron Variant

Here are the classifications until Dec. 15.

Metro Manila will remain under COVID-19 Alert Level 2 until Dec. 15, Malacañang said Monday as the rest of the world moved to thwart the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant.

The majority of the Philippines will be under Alert Level 2 with the exception of Apayao which is under Alert Level 3, according to Cabinet Sec. Karlo Nograles.

Under Alert Level 2, children can still go outdoors for leisure activities, and industries are allowed to operate at bigger capacities based on guidelines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 response.

Here are the other COVID-19 alert levels effective from Dec. 1 to 15 according to Nograles:
