Metro Manila's mayors agreed to shorten the curfew to nine hours during the MECQ period, wherein more businesses are also allowed to operate, the MMDA said.
Millions are prohibited from leaving the house from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. During the ECQ, the curfew started earlier by two hours, at 6 p.m. The MECQ in Metro Manila Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan will last until April 30.
MMDA Chairman Benjamin Abalos Jr. said the capital region's mayors agreed the new curfew hours.
