Number coding in the National Capital Region will remain suspended under Alert Level 4, which was extended until Oct. 15, the MMDA said Friday.

"Sa pagpasok ng buwan ng Oktubre, nananatili pa ring suspendido ang Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) o number coding scheme," the MMDA said in an advisory.

The suspension is in effect until further notice. Makati City, which implemented number coding under Alert Level 4, is yet to suspend the scheme.

Alert Level 4 is the second highest classification under the alert-based quarantine system that is being piloted in the capital region of 12 million people. Granular lockdowns in streets and brangays are implemented to allow businesses to open.
