Singer Moira dela Torre said she asked herself what she did wrong on her separation with husband Jason Hernandez after he publicly confessed to infidelity via social media.

It's her initial reaction when facing hardships in life, the 28-year-old said when asked by "Magandang Buhay" host Regine Velasquez if she blamed herself for what happened.

"Yes, Mama, sobra," she told Velasquez, her co-judge in "Idol Philippines."

I always say, 'what did I do wrong?' especially now. Saan ba ako nagkulang? Dati akala ko 'yung 'Paubaya' kanta ko lang," Dela Torre said during the episode that aired Monday.

"But at the same time, I also know na God makes all things beautiful at His time at 'yun talaga pinanghahawakan ko, na I may feel like broken glass right now but God can make me a diamond again and I know I'll be whole again. I know he'll be whole again."

Dela Torre said that while she's grieving their breakup, it's also a season of healing for the songstress.

First time, sana last time, na 'yung ganito e. It's a foreign feeling to me and I didn't expect it to be like this but I realize na 'yung what the enemy meant for harm, the Lord always turns into beautiful things."

Aside from her split with Hernandez, Dela Torre also said she was also grieving other bad news: death of her best friend and her uncle, and her driver being diagnosed with cancer. Showing up at work and being surrounded by the "Idol Philippines" team and her close friends helped her process the pain.

"As in nag-shut down ako. I showed up at work, I turned my work mode on, I sat on my chair, and instantly the strength of Mama Reg, of Tito Gary, of the whole staff, just there...

Despite the breakup, Dela Torre said she still believes true love exists.

"In my life, it may not be in human form but it exists in my life because God is with me and because He is with me, I can forgive.
