The East Service Road in Muntinlupa City was closed to motorists on Saturday after a portion of the Skyway Project fell, causing heavy traffic and injuring at least four people, radio dzBB reported.
A steel girder fell while it was being attached, police were quored as saying. There was no immediate comment from Skyway management.
Three motorcycles and a car were hit by the fallen steel frame. A total of 4 civilians were injured during the incident.
Cranes were deployed to the scene to remove the fallen debris and vehicles stuck on the road. The section is closed to motorists until further notice.
