Netflix Renews 'Bridgerton' for Seasons 3 and 4

More chances for the Duke of Hastings to return?

Netflix has renewed hit Regency drama 'Bridgerton' for seasons three and four, its production company said Tuesday.

Shondaland, which also produces cult-favorite Grey's Anatomy, made the "most joyous" announcement via Instagram in the middle of filming the show's second season. 

"Esteemed members of the Ton, it seems we have a rather special announcement. Bridgerton shall return for seasons three and four. This author shall have to purchase more ink," in-character Lady Whistledown wrote.

Netflix devastated fans last week when it announced that Rege-Jean Page, who plays the Duke of Hastings, won't be returning in season two. 

Based on Julia Quinn's best-selling novels, Bridgerton's first season followed the story of Daphne Bridgerton's debut in Regency London. The upcoming one will focus on her brother Lord Anthony Bridgerton's story, played by Jonathan Bailey.
