Another storm, which will be named Maring, is brewing off the Visayas after Lannie exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility early Wednesday, PAGASA said.

The low pressure area will likely intensify into a tropical depression by Friday or Saturday and will be given its local name once it enters PAR. At 4 a.m., it was located 1,525 kilometers east of Visayas, according to PAGASA forecaster Aldczar Aurelio.

The trough or extension of Lannie will still bring rains over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa on Wednesday, said forecaster Ariel Rojas.

PAGASA said it expects two to three tropical cyclones to enter PAR this October.
