The Philippines on Wednesday tallied 3,656 more COVID-19 cases, the lowest since March 2021.

The day's tally brought active cases to 67,061. A total of 228 new recoveries and 5 new deaths were also reported.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Philippines has recorded a total of 2,735,369 cases, of which 2,627,331 recovered and 40,977 died.

Alert Level 3 in Metro Manila is expected to last until the end of October. Starting Tuesday, select provinces shifted to the alert level-based quarantine system with restrictions also set to expire on Oct. 31.

Generally, greater freedom is available in areas under a lower alert level especially for fully vaccinated indivduals. Check our guides for what's allowed and what's prohibited under the different alert levels.
