An ostrich was caught on video running wild in a Quezon City subdivision on Tuesday, shocking Filipinos just as a quarter of the population started a fresh 15-day COVID-19 lockdown. "Ostrich" was the top trending topic on Twitter after the video was posted on news websites.

The video showed the giant flightless bird, galloping down a street as bystanders moved to the sidewalk and as a dog chased it. Dino Rivera, who uploaded the video, gave reportr permission to repost it. As of late Tuesday afternoon, it got nearly 700,000 views.

It was unclear why an Ostrich was in that part of the city. Some Twitter posts suggested that there were two birds and that they have been captured.

"Surreal, I mean di ko naisip na lalabas ako ng bahay tapos may tumatakbong ostrich (I never thought I'd see an ostrich when I went out of the house)," he said.

An Angkas driver in a helmet was caught in Rivera's video. The ride-sharing platform tweeted a sceen shot with the caption: (Jumanji 2020).
