The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded the highest temperature in Metro Manila for the dry season at 36.5 degrees Celsius, taken at 3:45 p.m. at the Science Garden in Quezon City.

The heat index, or the temperature people feel, was at 41 degrees Celsius.

While the recorded temperature in Quezon City was high, PAGASA said there were even hotter temperatures in other areas. Dagupan City in Pangasinan and Sangley Point in Cavite hit a heat index of 50 degrees Celsius.
