Expect two to three storms to enter the Philippine area of responsibility this August, raising the possibility of more monsoon rains, PAGASA said.

The three tropical cyclones will be given the names Gorio, Huaning, and Isang when they enter PAR, weather forecaster Ariel Rojas said on Thursday.

"Usually po ang landfalling na bagyo sa buwan ng Agosto ay tumatama diyan sa northern Luzon," Rojas told reporters.

PAGASA said monsoon rains would continue to drench parts of Luzon until early August.
