Outbound international passengers and even domestic travelers, who may require reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing can avail of the virus screening at PAL Learning Center in Ermita, Manila.

COVID-19 testing can be availed daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for P4,500 for results released within 24 hours, PAL said. Interested passengers are required to pre-register online here.

Detoxicare, a Department of Health accredited COVID-19 testing facility will issue the test result certificates, PAL said.

"The facility is available for walk-in or drive-thru customers... There is no need to book an appointment to avail this service," the airline said in an e-mail to its customers.

RT-PCR testing is hailed as the "gold standard" for COVID-19 detection.
