Disney on Sunday released the teaser trailer for its reimagining of the popular book series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians", giving a new generation of fans a glimpse of Camp Half-Blood.

The new TV series, set to stream on Disney+, stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, the demigod son of a mortal woman and Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, whose journey across many realms will see him fighting various mythical creatures.

"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" will be the second adaptation of Rick Riordan's books, with each season set to adapt one installment in the five-part series.

The first two books in the series were previously adapted into live-action films which starred Logan Lerman in the title role.

Aside from Scobell, also featured in the new TV series are Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, the intelligent demigod daughter of Athena, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Percy's best friend and satyr disguising as a boy.
