The Philippines Has the Highest Number of Active COVID-19 Cases in ASEAN

We've exceeded Indonesia's number of active cases.

The Philippines now has the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the Southeast Asia.

In this chart from The ASEAN Post, it shows that Indonesia has more cases, with 64,958 in total and 31,798 active cases. The Philippines is in second place with 46,333 total cases, but it has 32,845 active cases, the highest in the region.

The Philippines also logged twice as many cases as Indonesia yesterday, with 2,079 new cases yesterday, and Indonesia with 1,209.

Singapore comes in third with a total of 44,983 cases, but shows better recovery rates, as only 4,516 cases remain active.

Laos has only had 19 COVID-19 cases to date, and all patients have recovered.

The ASEAN region has a total of 169,106 cases. Data from the chart was retrieved from the WHO and was dated July 6.

The Philippines has a total of 46,333 COVID-19 cases, with 12,185 recoveries and 1,303 deaths.
