LOOK: Philippine Typhoons Class of 2020 As Seen From Space

From Ambo to Ulysses.

Here is a composite image of the 21 typhoons, tropical depressions and tropical storms that lashed the Philippines so far in 2020, from Ambo to Ulysses. Weather bureau PAGASA released the pictures, sourced from the Himawari-8 satellite.

The typhoon names for the year of COVID-19 has room at least four more: Vicky, Warren, Yoyong and Zosimo.

The Philippines is battered by an average of 20 typhoons yearly, most of which form over the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean, off the country's eastern coast.

The most powerful and destructive one so far this year are Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni) and Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco).
