Officials at the Amado V. Hernandez Elementary School in Tondo, Manila recently distributed modules, tablets, and SIM cards to parents for their children's online classes that will start in October.

Manila City Schools Division Superintendent Maria Magdalena Lim earlier said gadgets are government property, and should be cared for and cannot be sold. If a student graduates, transfers to a school that is not in Manila, or drops out, the tablets should be returned.

The adjusted school calendar will conclude on June 16, 2021, with Christmas vacation beginning on Dec. 20, 2020 until Jan. 3, 2021.
