ABS-CBN and Globe-backed Kroma are set to launch a new entertainment platform on May 23 that blends traditional and digital content to Filipinos, making programs accessible to both television and new media viewers.

Dubbed as the Philippines’ first real-time and multi-screen interactive channel, PIE or Pinoy Interactive Entertainment, will air engaging content from minds behind ABS-CBN's programming, powered by technology from 917Ventures and KROMA Entertainment.

What's new with PIE?

Since PIE is multi-screen and interactive, everyone is an active audience member, no matter where they watch. This means participating in game shows and winning prizes can be done from home, without having to wait outside studios.

Plot-heavy dramas and teleseryes can also be influenced by viewers who can vote from their phones. On PIE, the audience gets to decide if a fictional couple makes up or breaks up for good.

Up and coming content creators can also reach a wider audience through its programs, with viewers choosing the best personality who deserves their follow.

"Here at PIE we are excited to introduce to you a new kind of viewing experience that combines the strengths of content and technology. We designed our shows for the young and young-at-heart! We made our programs interactive so viewers can participate through TV and mobile devices because we believe that they are integral slices of the PIE. Get ready for 21 hours of fun game shows, talent and variety programs, series, and talk shows every day in this new entertainment channel," said Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast.

Who's on PIE?

The channel has a variety of stars from ABS-CBN's own Star Magic, television personalities, models and hosts, singers, and even online content creators.

Everyone's favorite neighbor "Mayora" Frances Cabatuando of Home Buddies Facebook community will be part of the morning PIESILOG block.

Even all-around no-frills online chef Ninong Ry will be part of PIE.

"Pambansang Bortang Barbie" Aaron Maniego and host Karen Bordador will discuss UZI's outcomes alongside musician Renee Dominique.
