Businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles was convicted of graft and malversation for her role in the misuse of "pork barrel" funds, according to multiple news reports.

Napoles' case was among the biggest corruption scandals of the last decade, leading to the detention of then Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla. Both are out of jail and Revilla was reelected in 2019.

Her daughter, Jeanne Napoles, went viral as her mother stood trial after photos of Hollywood party lifestyle surfaced.

Also convicted by the Sandiganbayan was former Cagayan de Oro Rep. Constantino Jaraula and three others, GMA News reported.

The court found that Napoles' Countrywide Agri and Rural Economic Development was used to siphons funds from the Technology Resource Center.
